Borrowing Policy and Procedures
  • A student is allowed to borrow books from any of these sections: home reading, fiction, and non-fiction.
  • A student is allowed to have a single extension if the book is not reserved within the week it is borrowed.
  • Borrowing status and history can be viewed anytime by logging in to the LRC website. Book reservations can also be made online.

  • Private messages for books which will soon be overdue will be sent to students’ BINUS e-mail address.
  • A student cannot borrow books if the previously loaned books are not returned. The librarian will give fifteen (15) school days grace period for the student to return the book.
  • Books which are not returned fifteen (15) school days after the due date will be considered lost.
  • Lost and/or damaged resources must be paid with their current price including freight and processing cost (Rp30,000).
  • All financial transactions should be processed cashless (QRIS, BCA flazz, debit or bank transfer to BINUS account).
  • Students are not allowed to borrow books on behalf of a teacher.
  • LRC privileges will be denied until all loans are cleared.
  • Progress Report and/or other official documents will not be released unless all outstanding loans or penalties have been cleared up.
  • All items are to be returned on or before the due date.
  • Check whether any damage occurs. Light damage can be repair and the borrower will not be fined.
Loan Limit and Period
  1. EY – Primary Division:
    • EY | One for a period of two weeks, with a once only renewal if no one reserves.
    • Primary | Two books for a period of two weeks, with a once only renewal if no one reserves.
  2. Secondary Division:
    • Three books for a period of two weeks, with a once only renewal if no one reserves.
  3. Teacher:
    • Teachers can borrow an unlimited number of teacher resource books for one semester.
    • Two books for personal reading for a period of two school weeks, with two renewals if no one reserves.
  4. Administrative Staff:
    • Two books for a period of two weeks, with a once only renewal if no one reserves.
  5. Parents:
    • Two books for a period of two weeks, with a once only renewal if no one reserves.

Returning Procedure
  • Go to the circulation desk.
  • Return the book(s) to the librarian.
  • The librarian will check-in the book(s) in the system.
